Learning starts soon after birth, and is at an optimum period during the early years. Children go through common stages of development. They each learn at their own pace, learn best by doing, and do what is interesting and fun for them.

Pre-School Ages 6 weeks-4 years
Our mission is to provide high quality programs to each individual child in the safest environment possible. Through cooperation and open communication, a safe, positive learning environment will be created to influence the direction of your child’s future via superior education and encouraged self-confidence. We have made a commitment to promote nurturing, loving care that will provide you as a parent with an invaluable peace of mind.
Georgia Pre-Kindergarten
Green Acres Pre-School is proud to offer five Georgia Pre-K classes. Each Pre-K class follows the High/Scope curriculum to introduce important subject areas. The five key subject areas for High/Scope are language and literacy, mathematics, science, music, and rhythmic movement. Teachers will direct key experiences within these subject areas to enhance conception and skill at an elementary level. A strong emphasis is placed with hands-on experiences. Children are encouraged to solve practical problems and relay the results of their efforts in a variety of formats. Many activities will require group interaction and communication. Children participating in the Georgia Pre-K program will emerge with a wide range of intellectual and physical abilities in addition to an ability to develop positive relationships with others.
Before/After School Services
Green Acres provides childcare services both before and after school. Transportation to and from most local schools is included.
Green Acres offers transportation to and from the following schools:
- Bill Arp Elementary
- Bright Star Elementary
- Arbor Station Elementary
- Dorsett Shoals Elementary
- Mason Creek Elementary
- Chapel Hill Elementary (Afternoon Pick-Up Only)
- South Douglas Elementary (Afternoon Pick-Up Only)
Children attending our exciting after-school program will be offered student and teacher-directed activities both indoors and out. We provide a quiet environment for children to actively complete homework. All after-school teachers are prepared to assist each child with any issues that may arise during study time. In addition to themed activities, our after-school program places a strong emphasis on positive character traits that children within the school age bracket are developing.
Summer Camp
Green Acres offers an exciting summer camp program to children ages 4 – 12 years. Summer camp will begin the Monday following the last day of school and will end the day before students return to school in the fall.
